Information
From junction 38 of the M4, take the road opposite the one towards Margam Abbey and follow it across the level crossing and on towards the beach.

Margam Sands is a three mile long, west facing secluded beach overlooked by Port Talbot Steelworks.

The beach is backed by dunes which can make winds gusty when offshore. Conditions are very similar to those at Rest Bay, with good bump and jump or wave-sailing conditions in Southerly through Westerly to Northerly winds, with NW and N winds being the best. As with Rest Bay, kitesurfing is also an option here, as is kiting on the sands at any time other than high tide.

Parking is available by the beach, and accomodation, shops, cafes and pubs are found at nearby Pothcawl.
